Stay where the action is taking place! The JW Marriott and The Douglas are Vancouver's two newest luxury hotels, both located in the recently developed Parq Vancouver hotel and casino complex, where our wedding is happening.

Parq is right next to BC Place Stadium, and is only a couple blocks away from Vancouver's famous Yaletown neighborhood, which is packed with hip restaurants and cocktail lounges, as well as indie fashion and decor boutiques.

If you wish to stay off-site, there is no shortage of options for hotels in Vancouver. Below are our recommendations.

Pacific Rim.gif

As luxurious as any other hotel in Vancouver, the Fairmont Pacific Rim is one of our other favourites. Located in Vancouver's Coal Harbour district, right next to the ocean and Vancouver's famous seawall walk, and a 15-minute walk from Vancouver's famous Gastown district, which is Vancouver's oldest, most historic area, now home to countless trendy restaurants, bars, and shopping boutiques.

Pro-tip: Book the Signature Ofuro Room for the nicest bathroom you'll ever use, with a gigantic deep soaking jetted bathtub overlooking Coal Harbour. Also be sure to check out the breakfast buffet; it's one of the best ever!

Hotel Georgia.gif

The Rosewood Hotel Georgia is the third of what we consider to be the best hotels in the city. Located at the most central part of Vancouver's downtown core, right across the street from the Pacific Centre shopping mall, only a block away from the famous Granville Street, and a relatively short walk to perhaps Vancouver's most famous shopping area, Robson Street.

Pro-tip: While the rooms are not cheap, the hotel almost always has a third-night free promotion running. Click here for details!

Trump Shangri La.gif

The Shangri-La and Trump Vancouver are what we consider the final two top-tier properties in Vancouver. Although we would group them slightly below the others mentioned above, they are still great, and we expect to be priced slightly lower than the others. We have put them together since they are similar in that respect, and are also in the same location/across the street from each other, right on West Georgia Street in the downtown core, only a couple blocks away from both Robson Street and Pacific Centre.

Sheraton Wall Centre.gif

The Sheraton Wall Centre is your best bet if you're looking to allocate a larger portion of your trip expenses from accommodation to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Centrally located in the downtown core, the hotel is only a couple blocks away from Pacific Centre, Granville Street, and Robson Street.
